Cancellation policy
Purchase Options & Cancellations — Artwork (Prints, Originals, Digital)
Scope
This policy applies to purchases of:
- Prints (framed/unframed, limited/open edition)
- Original artworks
- Digital artworks (downloadable files, licenses)
Order confirmation and processing
- Orders are confirmed by an emailed receipt containing order number and summary.
- Processing begins immediately after confirmation; some items (especially originals, made-to order prints, or prioritized fulfillment) may ship or be delivered within 1–14 business days depending on item type and shipping choice.
Cancellations — general rules
- If your order has not yet entered production or shipped, you may cancel for a full refund within 24 hours of purchase.
- Once production or fulfillment has begun (e.g., print produced, custom framing ordered, original packaged for shipment, or digital license issued), orders cannot be canceled.
- Digital downloads delivered (link emailed or account download enabled) are final and non-cancelable.
How to request a cancellation
- Email cancellations to malaikaross.studio@gmail.com with subject “Cancellation — Order #xxxx” and include your name and order number.
- Requests received within the 24-hour window and before production/shipment will be processed within 3 business days.
- We will confirm approval or denial by email.
Refunds
- Approved cancellations receive a full refund to the original payment method within 7–10 business days after processing (card issuer timing may vary).
- If an order is partially canceled (e.g., multiple items and only some are eligible), shipping charges for the remaining items are not refunded; a proportional refund will be issued.
- For returned physical items (see returns policy): refunds issued after inspection and restocking may be subject to a 10–25% restocking fee for non-defective items depending on condition.
Exceptions & non-cancelable items
- Custom commissions, personalized pieces, one-of-a-kind originals, commissioned reproductions, and made-to-order items cannot be canceled after 24 hours or once work has started.
- Digital files and license purchases are non-refundable and non-cancelable once the download link or license key has been issued.
- Sale items labeled “final sale” are not eligible for cancellation once purchased.
Order changes (address, add/remove items)
- Minor changes (shipping address, optional add-ons) may be accepted within 24 hours if order processing has not begun. Contact support at malaikaross.studio@gmail.com immediately; changes are not guaranteed.
- Increasing an order (adding items) requires placing a new order.
Fraud, chargebacks, and misuse
- If fraud is suspected, we reserve the right to cancel an order and refund the legitimate cardholder; we will cooperate with payment processors and law enforcement as required.
Communication & timelines
- We will notify you if an order becomes non-cancelable due to production status.
- Cancellation approvals, denials, and refund confirmations are sent by email within 3 business days of request.
